The 2012 Olympic Games have concluded. Emotional memories are now etched permanently in the minds of billions around the world. While I am not a die-hard sports fan, I must say that it’s next to impossible not to get caught up and attached to the beauty and art of performance in its highest form. Be it the display of athletic power and velocity or the overwhelming beauty of the Sergeant Pepper-like eye-candy coated theatrical performances. All display the mesmerizing capabilities of the human spirit. All emotionally captivating. All dazzling. All memorable.
I look forward to Rio 2016 and a new Olympic logo. Although I wasn’t fond of the 2012 London logo, with its shattering shard-like design and fractured look (as in “breaking apart”), it is indeed memorable. I won’t forget it. It simply wasn’t my cup of tea.
The new brand logo for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is beautiful and sexy. It’s fluid and natural. At the heart of the design, the logo form captures an embracing, indigenous, organic, dance-like rhythm and vibe that connects to the personality of the city and the culture it represents. The logo is a versatile piece of identity that morphs with ease from the flat surface to the super-scaled environmental sculpture. Very hot and very successful I say.
Organizers said the Rio 2016 Olympic brand logo was designed based on four pillars: contagious energy, harmonious diversity, exuberant nature and Olympic spirit.

As with all brand logo identities, it’s better to be memorable than forgotten. I can’t wait, it’s going to be one hot time in Rio.
