Francis further strengthens our insight capability and evidence based approach at BrandingBusiness. He began his career in an international trading firm exporting industrial commodities to the Indian sub-continent and the Far East, and since 1987 he has worked in strategic market research and consulting. Initially working in Financial Services research, Francis’ focus switched to technology markets and he was Director of IT & Telecoms Research in Europe for Total Research (now HI Europe) from 1991 to 1999.
During this time his clients included many of the world’s leading hardware, software and network technology vendors. A period as an independent consultant strengthened Francis’ belief that research actually done by people with experience and business nous is immensely valuable to clients.
Since setting up The Insight Business in 2002 and subsequently becoming a Research Partner to Gravity Global and now BrandingBusiness, Francis has continued to work hands-on as research director, moderator, interviewer, analyst and presenter in sectors as diverse as the private banking, aerospace, and information technology, and includes brands such as Bausch & Lomb, HP / Compaq, Inmarsatand NEC.
